Van Den Heuvel K9 welcomes to the United States, as of November 2009, Santo Vikar, Schh 3, IPO 3, ZVV 3, Multiple Czech National Championship Competitor and internationally renowned producer of working progeny.

Santo is a large, intensely civil stud dog. He is a force to be reckoned with when protecting his family and property, and he is a dog whose respect must be earned - he is an extremely serious dog. His protection is fast and very committed, and while competing in Europe his protection scores were always perfect or in the high nineties. Santo has a deep natural nose and is a truly talented tracker.

Santo’s pedigree is a perfect example of carefully combining proven working bloodlines to create serious working progeny that in turn produce working progeny of the highest caliber. Santo’s sire, Dingo von Conneforde, was noted throughout his breeding career for producing very hard and intelligent progeny (including Santo’s legendary half-brother Orry, sire of more international level working dogs than any dog living.) Dingo goes back on such noted greats as Pollux von der Schafbachmule, to Karlo vom Peko Haus and Don vom Rolansteich.

Santo’s dam, Giori Vikar (SchH 3,IPO 3 o/o hips) was a noted producer of working progeny in addition to being a top competition dog throughout her long career. Her progeny are found throughout many of the top-producing working kennels in Europe, where her influence is found in hard, tough progeny with long-lasting structural integrity, unshakeable nerves, loyalty of character and superior intelligence and willingness to work. Notable dogs in Giori’s pedigree include grandsire Cordon An-Sat (ZVV 3, IPO 3, ZM), the amazing Adela Venusina Sopka (IPO 3, SchH 3, ZVV 2, OP 1), and the legendary dogs of another generation: Astor vom Waldidyll, Bero vom Friedersdorfer Flur, and LORD VOM GLEISDREIECK.

Santo’s progeny are noted for early presence of prey and defensive drives. Santo imparts his size, substantial boning and head type, as well as superb ability in all three phases of the work. His progeny are suitable for single and dual purpose police work, search and rescue, personal protection and high level dog sport.
